חיים חזן הוא פרופסור מן המניין לסוציולוגיה ואנתרופולוגיה חברתית, שותף פעיל במכון הרצג לחקר ההזדקנות והזיקנה. פרסם מספר רב של מאמרים וכן מספר ספרים כולל:
