Noam Markovitz (M.A.)


Short Biography

Noam Markovitz studied Clinical and Health Psychology (M.A.) at Eotvos Lorand University in Budapest and he is currently a PhD candidate at Tel Aviv University. Since 2015, he has been a co-investigator in a large 3-year study funded by the Israel Ministry of Science and conducted in the Herczeg Institute on Aging at Tel Aviv University. His research interests include complex modes of adaptation to difficult life situations such as physical disabilities, poverty and bereavement in older adults. Specifically, his studies examine physical and mental mechanisms that may aid those individuals in striving for, and maintaining, a positive psychological environment despite the adversities and difficulties they encounter.
