A multidisciplinary conference, entitled Intergenerational transmission of the Holocaust trauma: Psychological, biological and therapeutic aspects, took place on May 2, 2016, at Bar-Ilan University. The conference was organized by Dr. Amit Shrira of Bar-Ilan University's Interdisciplinary Department of Social Sciences. Lectures were given by (in alphabetical order): Dr. Inna Gaisler-Salomon, Dr. Natan Kellerman, Dr. Sonia Letzter-Pau, Dr. Yuval Palgi, Prof. Miri Scharf, Dr. Amit Shrira, Prof. Moshe Szyf, Prof. Gal Yadid, Dr. Gadi Zerach. Prof. Dov Shmotkin, Head of Herczeg Institute, moderated the session dealing withpsychological aspects of transference.

The conference ended in a panel discussionentitled How could a multidisciplinary approach of Intergenerational transmission be obtained?moderated by Prof. Rachel Dekel with the participation of (in alphabetical order): Dr. Martin Orbach, Prof. Dov Shmotkin, Prof. Moshe Szyf and Prof. Hadas Wiseman.
